Alan Morris, who traded from Figaro jeweller's in Quarry Street, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, had agreed to repair a range of items, such as watches, rings, bracelets and necklaces, but they went missing.
He then falsely blamed their disappearance on other jewellers he had subcontracted to carry out the repair work for the problems.
