Man accused on rape charges

A MAN is to stand trial accused of a series of rapes.

Sonoo Yaqoob yesterday faced the allegations at the High Court in Glasgow.

He is said to have raped one female at a secondary school in the city's south side and at a cinema in 2011.

The 20-year-old also faces five rape allegations against another female - including at a hospital.

They are said to have taken place between 2012 and 2013.

Louise Arrol entered not guilty pleas on his behalf.

Judge Lady Rae set a trial for the High Court in Livingston on August 25.
