Man admits to racist 'tirade'

A MAN unleashed a racist tirade outside a Scottish mosque shortly after solider Lee Rigby was hacked to death in London.

Grant Gallagher was heard shouting racist and abusive language, saying "you terrorists killed him", as he grabbed the gate of the premises in Livingston, West Lothian, with both hands and rattled it.

Livingston Sheriff Court heard that an Asian man in a car and a woman having a cigarette in her garden nearby both heard Gallagher's rant at 2am on May 26.

Gallagher, 54, of Livingston, pled guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner. Sheriff Martin Edington deferred sentence for community payback order reports on Gallagher's suitability for unpaid work, and tagging.
