A MAN has denied detonating three explosive devices in Dundee over a four-week period.

Allan Peach, 24, made a first appearance at the High Court in Glasgow yesterday accused of causing explosions of a nature likely to cause injury or damage to property in Dundee between April and June.

It is alleged he searched for information on how to make explosive devices and obtained the ingredients to do so.

Peach is charged with causing explosions at three locations in the city and with having explosive devices in his possession on various occasions.

He is also charged with having a pepper spray in his possession and resetting a can of Nato weapon oil. He denies setting fire to two cars, and damaging another by throwing a corrosive substance over it.

Defence counsel Thomas Ross entered a not guilty plea on behalf of Peach. The case was continued until later this month.
