A MAN is to stand trial later this year accused of murder at a flat in Glasgow.

Paul Boyle is charged with knifing to death Kenneth McNeill, 52, at a property in the city's Dumbarton Road, Yoker on May 15 this year.

Boyle is then accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice, which includes claims he told a possible witness to keep quiet and that he threatened to cut his throat. The charge also alleges the 38 year-old put blood stained clothes in a washing machine and that he also got rid of a knife.

Boyle denied the charges during a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
