Match officer suspended

A POLICE officer who caused outrage by making an alleged "5-1" hand sign at a Hearts-Hibs match has been suspended.

A picture of the special constable seemingly making the gesture to Hearts fans at last week's derby match went viral on the internet.

The image incensed Hibs supporters still smarting after their 5-1 thrashing by Hearts at the Scottish Cup final in May.
