A MAN has appeared in court charged with murdering a young father.
Liam Strang, 20, allegedly struck Stephen McGinlay on the head and body with a knife or similar instrument on October 2. He is charged with murdering the 27-year-old on St George's Road in Glasgow. A second man, Brian Gallacher, 27, is accused of assaulting Ryan Mason on the same day at the same place. They made no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody.
