Alexander Mortimer is accused of two counts of sexually assaulting a young child, two counts of taking an indecent photo of a child and one count of possessing an indecent photo of a child. It is not known if the offences took place at the South Lanarkshire Council nursery where the 28-year-old is employed, but last night it emerged a police investigation into his alleged activities has been running for at least two weeks.

Nursery nurse on child sex charges
A NURSERY nurse who works at a council-run childcare centre has been charged with child sex and child pornography offences.
