TWO men are facing jail after they admitted stealing 30 ducks from a farm.

Benjamin Murray and Brandon Robb took the birds from Meikle Balquhomie Farm, in Leslie, near Glenrothes, between July 29 and August 1 last year.

They had originally been accused of stealing 90 ducks but prosecutors yesterday accepted a guilty plea to stealing a third of that amount. A further allegation they had killed 90 ducks was dropped by prosecutors, who also accepted not guilty pleas to disabling and damaging snares and fencing.

Murray, 29, of Leslie, Fife and Robb, 17, also of Leslie, pled guilty.

Sentence was deferred until next month.
