A TEENAGER has been convicted of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner after bacon was wrapped around the door handles of a mosque.

Chelsea Lambie, 18, from Paisley, was convicted after a five-day trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. Her co-accused, Douglas Cruikshank, 38, from Galashiels, admitted the charge relating to an incident at the Central Mosque in Potterow on January 31 last year.

The pair were bailed and will be sentenced on May 23.
