Police stopped Lee Middlemass, 25, and Jo-Anna Wallace, 21, on the M8 in October 2012 and found three kilos of drugs in their van.
Officers searched a property in Dalkeith and found 1.3 kilos of cocaine and thousands of pounds.
The pair earlier pled guilty to offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Middlemass was jailed for three years and nine months while Wallace was given a two-year term.
Detective Chief Inspector Colin Boyle said: "Lee Middlemass and Jo-Anna Wallace were caught transporting a large quantity of Class A drugs, with the intention of making significant profit at the expense of our communities, where their sale causes so much harm and misery."
