Pet sitter's ban over animal care failings

A PET sitter who left seven animals entrusted into her care unattended has been banned from keeping animals for 40 months.

Gaynor Frances Burgess, 60, of Brigton Cottages, St Andrews, yesterday admitted to failing to make adequate provisions for the welfare of five dogs and two cats in October 2012.

Burgess, proprietor of Pet Care Services of St Andrews, was also fined £400 after pleading guilty at Cupar Sheriff Court.
