Policing ‘crippled’ by delays and errors

Scotland’s largest police force has warned it is being placed “at risk” by crippling delays in forensic analysis and IT problems.

The attack by Strathclyde Police on the Scottish Police Services Authority (SPSA) warns of a drugs backlog of 883 cases, a chemistry backlog of 66 cases and biology backlog of 1052.
