Ramsay job chef stabbed himself

A STRESSED chef who stabbed himself in the hand because he was worried about starting training at one of TV star Gordon Ram-say's restaurants has been shown mercy by a sheriff.

Gavin Marshall got drunk and plunged a knife into his hand in the street because he was concerned about the job at the Scottish chef's restaurant in London.

Perth Sheriff Court heard promising cook Marshall had been drinking heavily in the run-up to a job trial. He had been so concerned about taking up the post in the acclaimed Maze restaurant he stabbed himself in front of a shocked mother and daughter.
