Revealed: 45% rise in under-8s committing offences

Almost 200 children under the age of eight – including two as young as three – committed offences in Scotland in the past year, according to new figures.

 

The shocking statistics, obtained by The Herald under freedom of information legislation, reflect a 45% rise in the number of youngsters who committed offences from three years ago and include offences ranging from serious assault to vandalism.
