Scot faces 20-year prison sentence over boy's death

A SCOTTISH pensioner faces 20 years in a Bulgarian prison after appearing in court charged with the murder of an 11-year-old boy he suspected had been cruel to his dog.

David Bell Bryson, 71, allegedly confessed to killing Stanislav Mirchov. The boy was found in undergrowth in the village of Lagoshevtsi, in the north-west of the country, where the Scot had lived for the past four years. Bryson appeared in court yesterday charged with causing intentional death of a minor.
