Scots vice suspect is released

A SCOT suspected of running a multimillion-dollar vice ring has been released from jail after four months behind bars.

Anna Gristina, originally from Kirkliston, near Edinburgh, was freed from Rikers Island prison in New York on Tuesday night after a family friend put up property to meet the $250,000 (£160,000) bond conditions.

Gristina spent Tuesday evening inside a Manhattan courthouse waiting for approval of the bail package.
