Second stabbing death but SNP defends knives policy

JUSTICE Secretary Kenny MacAskill has defended the Scottish Government’s knife-crime policy in the wake of the second knife killing in Lanarkshire in less than a week.

His comments come as detectives hunt the killer of 63-year-old David Goodhall, who was stabbed to death during a violent attack in his Airdrie home on Friday.

Mr Goodhall’s death is the fourth murder in the Lanarkshire area since the New Year.
