Sheridan is facing a new court battle

Pressure continues to mount on Tommy Sheridan as the News of the World said it intends to recoup court costs from the former MSP, a move likely to render him bankrupt.

The tabloid said it would “vigorously pursue” its appeal of Sheridan’s 2006 civil case against the newspaper, in which he won £200,000 damages, after the High Court in Glasgow found last week he had lied during that action.
