Sheriff doubts suicide bid

A SHERIFF told a man who threw himself on to a car in what a lawyer described as a possible suicide bid that if he had wanted to kill himself he would have thrown himself under the wheels.

Cupar Sheriff Court heard Barry Johnston walked out at Stratheden Hospital, near Cupar, and jumped on the car.

Johnston, 34, pled guilty to a charge of culpable and reckless conduct, to the injury of himself and endangerment of the female driver.
