Sergeant Edwin Mee, 44, faces two counts of rape, one of penetration, and 15 counts of sexual assault alleged to have taken place at Army bases in Croydon, south London, and Cheam, in Surrey, in 2010 and 2011.
The sergeant's 11 alleged victims were aged between 15 and 25 at the time of the assaults.
Sgt Mee spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address when he appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
He worked as a recruitment officer for the Army, but is now medically unfit to serve and is due to be discharged from duty next year.
Sgt Mee, now of Croydon, was bailed to appear at Southwark Crown Court on November 6.
