Student jailed over child porn

A MATHS student who applied to work with children and was caught with indecent images on his computer has been jailed for 15 months.

Glasgow University student Ezekiel Oladapo, 20, had files stored in a communal area of his laptop, which were seen by flatmates.

After seizing a laptop, phone and memory stick, analysis showed he had 4409 indecent images – including children – and 77 videos.

Oladapo, originally from London but living in Drumchapel, pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to downloading images between October 2008 and December 2010 and distributing images between November and December 2010.

Passing sentence yesterday, sheriff Martin Jones, QC, told Oladapo he would be supervised for two years on his release from custody.
