Teenager reported rape after a year

A 14-year-old girl left so traumatised by being raped more than a year ago has only now been able to report the attack to police.

Now aged 15, the girl was victim to what detectives describe as a horrifying ordeal in Drumchapel, Glasgow in December 2011.

She left a friend's house and was on a footpath near Donald Dewar Sports Centre. A man approached her while crossing a bridge and started talking to her. As she got to the entrance of Southdeen Park, he pushed her into an alleyway.
