Three-year ban for fan after assault at Rangers v Aberdeen game

A man has been banned from attending football matches in the UK for three years after he admitted an assault.

Matthew Thomson, 23, pleaded guilty at an earlier court hearing to assaulting a man before a Rangers v Aberdeen match at Ibrox on January 21.

He has now been given a three-year football banning order at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
