Very personal feel to attacks on old friends and new foes

The atmosphere in Court Four felt more at times like a street-corner slanging match than a criminal High Court trial as Tommy Sheridan cross-examined foes and former friends.

The attacks were at times deeply bruising, as witness after witness came face-to-face with the man they considered to have destroyed what they held close to them, whether that be socialism in Scotland or lifelong relationships.
