Widow's benefit cheat is convicted

A MARRIED woman has admitted claiming more than £11,000 of widow's benefit.

June Bernard, 49, failed to tell officials at the Department for Work and Pensions that she was living with her husband at their home in Fife for nearly two years.

Bernard admitted to illegally claiming £11,182.71 of benefits at Cupar Sheriff Court yesterday, where she was due to face trial for the offence.
