Andrea Westwater is alleged to have stolen a quantity of money from Courtroom Two at Dundee Sheriff Court on June 10.
It is understood she is accused of stealing cash from a fellow accused who apparently left her bag in the public gallery when she was called forward to the dock.
Westwater, 31, of Dundee, pled not guilty to the charge through defence solicitor Jim Laverty.
The case was called yesterday in Dundee Sheriff Court's Courtroom Two - the court where the incident is alleged to have taken place. Sheriff Alastair Brown set a trial for January and ordered her to appear at a pre-trial hearing in December.
