A teenager has appeared in court charged with murdering a 16-year-old near a school in Glasgow.

It is alleged that on June 17, the 16-year-old stabbed Luke Wallace him at a lane near Bannerman High School in Baillieston, Glasgow.

The accused, from Glasgow, did not appear from custody and it was arranged he would appear at court in private on Wednesday at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

He made no plea or declaration and was granted bail by sheriff Sean Murphy QC.

It is expected he will appear at the High Court at a later date.

Luke was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary after the incident but tragically died on June 25
