A man has been charged by police after officers recovered cocaine with an estimated street value of £110,000.

The drugs were seized in Alness, near Inverness, on June 2 as part of an ongoing police operation.

Detective Inspector William Nimmo, from Police Scotland's Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit, said: "This is a significant recovery that has removed harmful drugs from our local communities.

"We will continue to take action against the supply of illegal drugs and would encourage anyone with information to contact us."

A 26-year-old man is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday.
