Kelvin Holdsworth, 48, Provost of St Mary's Cathedral in Glasgow and a critic of the Catholic Church's stance on same-sex marriage.

Main aims: Address issues surrounding student registration, respond to overcrowding in the university library and sports facilities, help Chinese students integrate with the student body, improve student security on and off campus, better solutions to disabled access, create a social space for mature students and resolve timetabling issues to ensure Wednesday afternoons are free for sports and volunteering.

Graeme Obree, 48, cyclist and two-time world record-holder, nicknamed The Flying Scotsman.

Recently broke the speed record for the prone bicycle. Nominated by Glasgow University Sports Association and Glasgow University Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer & Plus Association.

Main aims: Promote issues relating to student welfare, including mental health issues, access to sport, the development of sports facilities, and champion the causes of minorities, particularly in relation to LGBT issues.
