Business leaders in plea over students

GLASGOW Chamber of Commerce has added its voice to a campaign to overturn the UK Government's immigration policy on international students.

Officials signed a protest letter to David Cameron from a network of universities and local chambers of commerce.

The moves come after the Coalition's decision to tighten up the issuing of student visas.

The letter said: "We are writing to you jointly as Chambers of Commerce from across the UK... with a shared interest of ensuring that immigration regulations do not impede economic growth.
