THREE colleges have announced plans to merge as part of the Scottish Government's rationalisation of further education.
The management boards of John Wheatley College, North Glasgow College and Stow College in Glasgow have agreed to enter into merger discussions.
Andy Woolley, chairman of the management board of John Wheatley College, said: "Our board have endorsed this joint approach. We look forward to creating a new, dynamic college which will deliver a high quality learning experience for all the communities of north-east Glasgow and beyond."
