Colleges warn more cuts risk education

COLLEGES have warned the Scottish Government that further cuts to the sector will damage the quality of education on offer to students.

The plea for more funding comes in the run-up to the Scottish spending review next week, which will set out the Government’s funding priorities.

Scotland’s Colleges, which represents college principals, said further education had already taken a 10% cut following the Budget last year which “simply can’t be repeated”.
