Educationalists from around the world are to speak at a major conference in Glasgow in the new year.

Pasi Sahlberg from Harvard University Graduate School of Education, Professor Allan Walker of Hong Kong Institute of Education and New York community school director Marinieves Alba are among the guests for the The International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement. Delegates will discuss educational improvement during the 29th running of the event from January 6 to 9.

Teachers, academics and policy-makers will attend the conference which has the theme of connecting teachers, schools and systems to create the conditions for effective learning.
