AN exponent of single sex education who believes girls are best educated at warmer temperatures than boys has been invited to give a talk at a Scottish private school.
The American psychologist and writer Dr Leonard Sax will explain his theories at Kilgraston, a girls' school in Bridge of Earn, Perthshire.
Dr Sax's more controversial beliefs centre on his theory that girls learn better when the classroom temperature is 23 degrees centigrade, while he thinks boys' performance improves in cooler classrooms – at around 20 degrees centigrade.
