The institution has brought in "therapet" sessions where stressed-out undergraduates can stroke pet dogs to help them relax before an exam.
History student Declan Sheridan was one of the first to sign up for the scheme and is now getting to know his new four-legged friend Reece – a two-year-old golden retriever.
Reece is one of several dogs provided for the sessions by the welfare charity Canine Concern Scotland Trust. Student counsellor Lindsay Crago said: "Stroking a dog or cat has exceptional benefits, including calming nerves."
