A SCOTTISH teachers' union has rejected the offer of a 2% pay rise over the next two years.
The NASUWT said the offer from local authority umbrella body Cosla fell far short of inflation and failed to compensate teachers for cuts in salary since April 2010. The offer of 1% this year and 1% next year is also conditional on changes to terms and conditions. The Educational Institute of Scotland will also ballot members.
