Council approves plans for 21 turbines

A WIND farm with 21 turbines 415ft tall has been approved by Argyll and Bute Council after the plans received only one letter of objection.

Councillors said the development at A'Chruach, in Kilmichael Forest, west of Minard in Mid Argyll, would have limited visual impact, despite the height of the turbines.

John Semple, lead councillor for energy and environment, said the development site met environmental conditions thus ensuring biodiversity, landscape and tourism economic interests would not be adversely affected.
