THE family of a man who died after battling Alzheimer's disease are to take part in a fundraising walk in his memory.

William Kennedy, from Elrick in Aberdeenshire, died in July 2012 at the age of 78. He had been diagnosed with the condition eight years previously.

His daughters and wife, along with other family members and friends, are now preparing for a 26km trek through the northern section of the Cairngorms in aid of Alzheimer's Research UK.
