Cost of obesity could reach £3bn a year and hurt economic growth
Scotland’s obesity epidemic is costing the country around £450 million a year, according to a new Government study that predicts the bill could soar to £3 billion by 2030 if there is no change in the nation’s attitude to food and exercise.
