Thousands of hospital doctors are to be balloted by BMA Scotland in November on a fresh round of industrial action.
It comes just three months after medics across the UK went on strike for the first time in almost 40 years in a show of anger over the reforms, and would leave only emergency cover in place in hospitals for three days in December and January.
