NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) said almost 60% of 11-year-olds in the city were given a clean bill of health during dental check-ups -- 2500 more than in 2005 and a 19% improvement after £7 million was invested in oral hygiene.
The majority of children in Glasgow – which historically has the worst dental health record in western Europe – are showing no signs of tooth decay for the first time in decades.
