If you go down to the woods today ... you’ve probably had quite a journey

MORE than 70% of people in Scotland are deprived of easy access to woodlands, putting their health and 
well-being at risk, says a new report.

In some areas such as Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire and East Lothian the proportion of the population without accessible woodlands nearby rises to more than 90%.
