The firm, set up as a not-for-profit social enterprise, said an independent report showed it delivered an economic return of nearly 3.5 times its funding. The council invests about £9m in Edinburgh Leisure annually.
The Social Return on Investment (SROI) report claimed leisure facilities avoided £25.5m in potential healthcare costs, cut sickness absence with a value of £5.2m and delivered mental health benefits costed at £2m per annum.
