More lung cancer cases in women

LUNG cancer rates have soared among women while declining in men, figures show.

In the past 40 years, rates of the disease among women have risen by 73%, Cancer Research UK said, while, lung cancer rates have fallen 47% among men. The proportion of men who smoke has been declining since the 1950s but for women this didn't happen until the 1970s, he said.
