New HIV cases spark warning on drug use

NEW cases of HIV among drug users have sparked a health warning.

Six cases were diagnosed in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde since the start of 2012.

There are usually up to 10 new cases a year in the area.

An NHS spokeswoman said the recent spike in numbers is a concern, and that some cases are linked.
