No link to cancer at microchip factory, says HSE

A major report into alleged links between a microchip manufacturer in Scotland and cancer rates among its employees has been criticised by campaigners and experts after its authors found no relationship between the two.

The long-awaited probe by the Health and Safety Executive concluded there was no connection between working conditions at the National Semiconductor plant in Greenock and higher-than-average levels of the disease amongst its staff.
