Thousands in Scotland overdosing on caffeine

Thousands of Scots are over-dosing on caffeine, with many being admitted to hospital for the problem. Average sufferers swallow the equivalent of 10 cups of coffee a day, and victims also include slimmers who have taken too many diet tablets.

They experience symptoms ranging from nausea to agitation and a fast heartbeat.
