Warning signs for strokes ignored

Almost three-quarters of people would not go to hospital after suffering a mini-stroke, a charity has found.

The Stroke Association also discovered more than two-thirds of people would not even recognise the symptoms of a transient ischaemic attack (TIA).

Yet more than 46,000 people suffer a TIA or mini-stroke every year in the UK, a key warning signal for a major life-changing stroke.
