The blue trunks worn by Daniel Craig as he emerged from the sea in Casino Royale are expected to sell for thousands of pounds in a charity auction.

They are going under the hammer next month as part of a series of events to mark the 50th anniversary of the world premiere of Dr No in London.

The Casino Royale scene was inspired by the moment Ursula Andress appeared from the waves in Dr No in a white bikini. The trunks are expected to sell for up to £5000 at the auction at Christie's in London, on October 5.

Also for sale is one of 007's Aston Martin sports cars, tarot cards used by Jane Seymour's character Solitaire in Live and Let Die and a belt with a golden bullet buckle worn by Christopher Lee as Scaramanga in The Man with the Golden Gun.

The car, a 2008 Aston Martin 6 Litre V12 DBS two-door coupe which appeared in the opening scenes of Quantum of Solace, is expected to fetch between £100,000 and £150,000.

The proceeds will go mainly to Barnardo's.

The auction is part of a series of celebrations that will see October 5 declared Global James Bond Day and includes a film retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Auction house director Nicolette Tomkinson said: "James Bond is much-loved by a truly international fan-base and we hope to make memorabilia from the 23 Bond films accessible to all."
